SHEHAWKEN FESTIVAL: The Shehawken United Methodist Women will be holding their annual Shehawken Festival, rain or shine. Located at the Shehawken United Methodist Church, Dixie Hwy and Scott Center Road, Starrucca, PA. From 11Am to 1PM, come enjoy the delicious homemade deli and bake goods, craft items, vintage Shehawken yard sale items, walk-away tacos, hot dogs and more. Proceeds to benefit the Women’s Mission Projects.

HELP WANTED: Union Dale VFC is looking for helpers and donations for the annual picnic. Help is needed in ticket sales, parking cars, flipping burgers, selling food, or running game stands. Baked goods are needed to fill the pie and cake stand. Baskets for the basket raffle can also be donated (note please no alcoholic beverages in the baskets, gift cards only due to small game of chance and liquor license regulations. Thank you). Cash donations are being excepted for the fireworks display. UNION DALE FIRE COMPANY COMMUNITY NIGHT: On Saturday evening July 8th, 2017 @ the Union Dale Vol. Fire Co. Fireman’s picnic (community night) the county drug van will be on site for anyone wishing to get rid of unwanted/unused drugs each person who drops off drugs will get a free slice of cheese pizza. Community night includes the following, Susquehanna County 911 and EMA (Division of Public Safety) will be on site to answer questions and educate the public on CODE RED and SMART 911. The Susquehanna County Sheriff will be on waiting for you to take your best shot and toss a pie in his face. Tentative medical helicopter landing for a show tell and answer session and lets not forget get your chance to dunk State Rep Fritz and Susquehanna County DA Robert Kline. come out and join us Saturday evening July 8, 2017.
