NJD BPW Selects Girl Of The Year
Jessica Lamb is Valedictorian of the 2017 senior class, with a GPA of 97.95. While attending Susquehanna Community High School she was involved in cross country, Student Council and is class treasurer. Jessica also anchored the Sabers News network. Jessica was involved with the Kane Competition (a physics event), Scholastic Bowl, Academic Challenge and the National Honor Society. She also tutors and is part of the Big Brother, Big Sister program.

On Wednesday, May 31, 2017, Blue Ridge High School senior, Callie Wyatt, signed her letter of intent to continue her softball playing career at Lackawanna College.

Fekette Signs to Northampton

Jamie Supancik Gets Scholarship
Jamie Supancik received the scholarship awarded by the Susquehanna Chapter of the Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees (PASR). The award was presented at the Senior Awards Assembly at Mt. View High School. Ellen Holdredge, Ed Support Chair, made the presentation.

At Mt. View, Jamie participated in drama club, band, chorus, track and was treasurer of the Class of 2017. She also volunteered in the Life Skills classroom each day. Outside of school, she was active in 4-H.
In the fall, Jamie will attend PSU Berks to major in Ag and Extension Education. She is the daughter of Bob and Diane Supancik.

Emily Carmody in Honor Society
Emily Carmody of Thompson, PA, was among The University of Scranton students inducted into the national honor society for graduate and undergraduate students in healthcare administration programs (Upsilon Phi Delta).
Students must have a minimum overall grade point average of 3.5 for induction. The University's chapter of the honor society was establish in 2002.
Carmody is a senior, majoring in health adminstration at the Jesuit university.

Wilkes University awarded 782 Bachelor's, Master's and Doctoral Degrees at its 70th spring commencement ceremonies on May 20.
