Alice A. Turner

Alice A. Tuner, 68, of Lanesboro, PA passed away on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital in Susquehanna, PA.

She was born in Susquehanna, PA the daughter of the late Raymond and Ceacil Bishop.

Alice is survived by her son, Robert E. Turner; brother, Albert Bishop; sister, Liddie DeWitt and many nieces and nephews.

She was a loving mother to one, but like a mother to so many. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

A Memorial Service was held Saturday, June 3 at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, PA with Pastor Gary Day officiating.

Interment will be held in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.

LEON P. PHILLIPS

Leon P. Phillips, 67, of New Milford, PA entered into rest on March 1, 2017. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Marion Phillips; several sisters and brothers.

Leon is survived by two sons; Leon J. Phillips, Craig and Julie Phillips; several grandchildren; brothers, Ed, John, Dave, Richie, Sam, and Paul; sisters, Patty, Smokey (Martha), and Pearl; numerous nieces and nephews.

Leon was a proud Marine and served three tours in Vietnam during the Vietnam War. He cherished being a grandfather to his beloved grandchildren. Leon was a loving brother and was very close to his siblings. They cared about him very much.

A graveside service with military honors will be held at 1 P.M., June 17, 2017 in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, PA.

Mary Louise Perrine Parks

Mary Louise Perrine Parks, widow of Ivan R. Parks, died peacefully on May 28, 2017 in Naples, Florida. She was 103 years of age. She is survived by her 2 children, Bradley Parks of League City, TX and Brenda Parks Williams of Medford, OR, 3 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Mary-Louise was born and raised in Susquehanna, PA. Interment of her remains at Evergreen Cemetery will occur at a later date.
