Letters to the Editor Policy

Valuing Diversity

I have very little in common with Donald Trump, except this one thing.

Like Trump, I have a Gastroenterologist.  The only reason I'd even have one is because something is wrong:  He found a lymphoma in my gut.  (My GP had quite sensibly thought it might be an ulcer, but referred me to him.)

In addition to a Gastroenterologist, then, I also needed a Radiation Oncologist.  The treatment he devised zapped that lymphoma with only minor discomfort.  Latest scan shows a shrinking tumor.  Looks like I beat it.

Here's the kicker:  Both of these medical specialists are Muslim.  Care to kick them out of the country?

This isn't the big city.  I'd have to go far to find some nice Jewish doctors.  I used what was available closer by, and they did the job.  Including the Hindu pathologist who identified the specific variety of cancer.  And let's not omit the Medical Oncologist who's a Chinese atheist.

My one regret is not signing up for Obamacare.  I gambled on just remaining healthy, and I lost; and as a result I have to pay a lot more than I would have.  Live and learn.

Unless you're Donald Trump.  To his most fervent followers, diversity is horrible-- only white, European Christians are any good.  They've somehow managed to think that this is what he's all about (I wonder how they came to this conclusion) and he's never done anything to dissuade them.  I have very little in common with Donald Trump, so I'll defend diversity now.

Sincerely,

Stephen Van Eck

Your Mother was Pro-Life!

Please thank God, your Mother and Father for not having a baby- killing abortion. Yes, there is only one Supreme God who created  the only Universe 13.7 billion years ago.

This letter is mainly about the Presidential election on November 8, 2016. We have 2 candidates; the Republican nominee is Donald Trump, the Democrat nominee is Hillary Clinton.

Mr. Trump will secure our borders and stop  the unbalanced flow  of refuges from Syria. In May, 2016 this year, there were 1035 Muslims and ONLY 2 Christians that entered into our U.S.A. under Mr. Obama's policy!

Mr. Trump will  stop the drastic and failed Obamacare with a much better health plan that will protect  people, businesses and  organizations from having to pay penalties and to stop giving money to baby-killing Panned Parenthood and abortion causing drugs.

Mr. Trump will build up our depleted U.S. military. Mr. Trump will renegotiate our failed trade agreements. We need to provide jobs to our young and old, not to foreign interests and Countries.

Mr. Trump is  what our Country needs, not Hillary Clinton.

Sincerely,

Bruce Moorhead
