Gerald J. Grausgruber, 77, of Susquehanna PA passed away on Tuesday, September 13, 2016 after an illness at the Barnes Kasson SNF, Susquehanna, PA.
He was predeceased by his parents, Stephen and Melina Grausgruber; his twin brother Eugene; infant brother, Richard, and brothers John and Lawrence.
Surviving are brothers, Paul Grausgruber, Ernest and Mary Jane Grausgruber, and Stephen and Catherine Grausgruber, all of Susquehanna, PA; sisters, Christine and Lawrence O’Reilly of Friendsville, PA, Teresa and Michael Vogel of Hallstead, PA; sisters-in-law, Germaine Grausgruber of Susquehanna, PA, Joann Perry of Hallstead, PA; aunt, Dorothy Buckley of Binghamton, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and their extended families which he cherished and enjoyed.
Gerald attended and graduated from the Scranton School for the Deaf at an early age. He then supported himself at different manufacturing plants in and around the Binghamton area for several years. He finally retired from the Sheltered Workshop in Binghamton, NY. Gerald was an avid fisherman and boater and when he was younger loved to play softball, baseball and bowl. He was known for his friendly nature. He was also a good artist, capable of drawing several different cartoon characters. Gerald will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA on Friday, September 16, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.
Interment was held at the St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
