Clifford Chicken-n-Biscuit or Ham Dinner: Wednesday, July 20th 4:00 to 6:00 pm Clifford United Methodist Church Main Street, Take out or Dine with us. Donation Includes dinner, dessert & drink.

Ham and Scalloped Potato Dinner: Thursday July 21 starting at 5:00pm at Starrucca Baptist in the Social Room. Ham and scalloped potato dinner. Public welcome!

Lyme Disease Education and Prevention: Friday July 22 at 10am. Salt Springs Park. Don’t let a tick make you sick Jane Osborn, PA Community Health Nurse, will provide important information on Lyme Disease. Come with your questions.

Annual Community Garage Sales: Friday July 22 and Saturday July 23 Rte 267 between Lawton and Meshoppen, Retta UMC will be serving food and berverage and homemade desserts at the Annual Comunity Garage Sales. To join the sales or for more information call 570-869-1918.

Salt Springs Park: Saturday, July 23 at 10am. Native Susquehanna County Snakes. Former Ross Park Zookeeper John Brunner will present on native snakes of Susquehanna County. He will bring a few live specimens to observe and some to touch.

Bike the Border: Sunday, July 24 at 1:30pm, Salt Sptings Park. Ride the roads through Salt Springs Park and Friends land and get a feel for how big the park is. We’ll bring with some simple bike maintenance and safety tips.

AUGUST 6

Autism Awareness 5K: Saturday August 6, Registration 8:00 – 8:4500am, Race start 9:00am, Event 9:00 – 1:00 at the Hallstead Ballfield off State Rte 11. Come enjoy music, food, activities and more! For copies of Registration form, call Youth Advocate Programs at 570-465-2171.

16th Annual Music in The Park: Sunday August 7. at the Clifford Fireman’s Fairgrounds off Rte 106, Clifford, PA. 10;30am Worship service followed by contemporary and traditional Christian music at 11:30am to 5:00pm (rain or shine). Some talents: Black Sage. Lisa Burke, Sears Family, Jim Reeves, Narrow Road w/John Mahalak, Joe Lavery and Andy Reppenning, John Swierczek, Lenoxville Band, Spark Gospel Singers, Paul Kester, Tri State Gospel Singers w/ Tom Meer, Tom Taylor and more. St. Lawrence Annual Summer BBQ and Festival Folk Band: Sunday August 7 starting at 11:00am at 380 Franklin St. Great Bend, PA Church Grounds. Chicken dinner, homemade pie sale, hot dogs, burgers, pizza, clam tent with steamed clams, and lots more. There will be a giant water slide, a small pool for babies and small children, face painting & tattoo stand, bounce house, ice cream & root beer floats, cupcakes plus more.
