The Northern Wayne MANNA Youth will Host “I Am They” at their First Annual Summer Concert.

On July 24th at 5pm, the Northern Wayne MANNA Youth will be hosting a summer concert at the Lakewood Fireman’s Fields located just off of route 370 (1429 crosstown highway for your gps).  MANNA (Meeting A Neighbor’s Need Abundantly) started with a Christmas meal delivery almost 5 years ago.  They have since delivered almost 2,000 meals at Christmas and other holidays to locals in Northern Wayne County and beyond as well as the completion of many local projects for seniors and several mission trips to help those in need.

The group is anchored by its strong youth team and this year the youth have decided to purchase a clean water well for a community in Africa as well as soccer balls for the same community’s youth. The youth were really saddened to learn that almost 5,000 kids die each day in Africa from water borne diseases and they decided to do something about it. At the same time they wanted to do something for our community while sharing their faith and this year’s first annual summer concert was born. “I Am They” will headline the event with opening act Hannah Kerr. There will be food to purchase and much more to do and see so plan to come early and get a great seat. Reserved seats can be booked online (www.lcsumc.com under the MANNA tab) or at the door.
