Twas almost 2 weeks before Christmas and all through Susquehanna Borough lands home and business owners had extension cords in their hands. Away to the rooftops they flew like a flash, trimming eave troughs, porches, and fence posts, that were fit for a bash. The business owners decorated their windows with care, with hope that shoppers would think them quite tempting and fair. Even though many were crestfallen at the lack of snow, their lights and their tinsel provided the glow, while dancing snowmen, Santas, Angels and decorated trees put on a show. Our community may be small, but many gave it their all--you see size of a town doesn't really much matter ...it's all the love, caring and sharing that makes our Christmas hearts fatter.

In all seriousness, the 2015 Susquehanna Business and Home Christmas Decoration Contest, co-sponsored by the Susquehanna Borough Council and the Susquehanna Community Development Association, brought out unmatched creativity and originality from our citizens and business owners. They have really made the Borough of Susquehanna Depot sparkle! To say that the top secret judges had difficult decisions to make is an understatement. All of the streets held many colorful and delightful Christmas entries. Prizes were awarded on December 21st to the following, who not only received a framed congratulatory certificate but also a gift certificate for their displays:
