The annual Senior’s Dinner put on by the Hallstead/Great Bend Lions Club was held on December 13, at the Great Bend Fire Company Hall. Designed to give local residents a chance to get together with old friends, over 200 local senior citizens took part, with over 160 at the facility, and additional take-outs delivered to those unable to be there in person.

A turkey dinner with “all the fixings” was provided, along with musical entertainment by the Carl Tanner Band and a drawing to give away a variety of gift certificates and door prizes. The event has been going on for over 40 years, and in addition to the Lions, Rob’s Market and Dobb’s Country Kitchen help make it possible. The Lions are grateful to everyone in the community who supports the Club in serving the local community.
