DAVID AND RITA RUTHERFORD JENNINGS

David and Rita Rutherford Jennings, ages 62 and 64, were called home to be with the Lord together on September 17, 2015 during a motorcycle accident.

They are survived by their children, Stacy and Nick Rollison, Amy and Bob Klim, and Jessica and Jeremiah Raub; four grandchildren, Jesse David, Nicholas, Laura, and Matt; Dave’s mother, Laura Jennings; Rita’s parents, Raymond and Alta Rutherford; Dave’s siblings, Homer and Carol Jennings, Nancy and Ed Lindsey, and Tom and Sue Jennings; Rita’s siblings, Sandy and Scott Glemby, Ann Pierce, John and Jackie Rutherford, James Rutherford; Dave’s sister-in-law, Carolyn Jennings; and numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and church family. They are predeceased by Dave’s father, Maurice Jennings, Dave’s brother, Wayne Jennings, precious great niece, Megan Thomas.

They were faithful members of the South New Milford Baptist Church, involved in so many different activities, Soulfire band, Awana, softball, volley ball, Sunday School teachers, and willing, smiling helping hands, where ever they were needed.

Dave and Rita enjoyed adventure, snowmobiling, horseback riding, camping at the pond, and riding their motorcycle. They were an excellent team, Dave would hunt and Rita would cook the game for dinner.

They loved their family dearly, especially spending time with their grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Dave and Rita were secure in their faith in Jesus Christ and lived their lives to honor and glorify Him. “When we were born, we were crying and our families were smiling. When we passed, we were smiling and our families are crying.”

A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 23, 2015 at the South New Milford Baptist Church. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the South New Milford Baptist Church, 2967 Harford Fair Road, New Milford, PA 18834. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA.

JANE A. ZICK

Jane A. Zick, 69, of New Milford, PA gently passed away on September 16, 2015 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, Gerald.

Also surviving are two sons, Chris and Lori Zick and Brad Zick; three grandchildren, Libby, Mckenna, and Elijah; three sisters, Betty and Bob Mitchell, Diane Scott, and Gail and John Post; father-in-law, Edward Zick; in-laws, Connie and Allen Gettle, Jack and Lisa Zick, and Mark Zick; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Bud and Eleanor Lawrence, two sisters, Carol and Anne, and a brother, Dennis.

Jane was active in the New Milford community, volunteering with various organizations. She cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren, at the lake. Jane had a big heart, was always willing to help, and strangers soon became friends. She was never at a loss for words and will be sorely missed.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church, New Milford, PA. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA and at the church from 3 until the start of the service. Laura Whitmore

Laura Whitmore, 88, of Susquehanna, Pa. passed away Sunday, September 13, 2015 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital SNF, in Susquehanna after an illness.

She was born in Susquehanna, the daughter of the late Larry & Harriett (Mead) Cuevas.

Laura was predeceased by her daughter, Roxanne Weibel Acquisto; two brothers, Francis Cuevas and Albert Cuevas.

She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Whitmore, Jr., daughter Sandra & Les Upright, three grandchildren, Todd & Becky Upright, Tamara & John Ragard, Aubrey Weibel, five great-grandchildren, Megan Ragard, Kailey Ragard, Brooke Upright, Brandi Upright, Desiree Stokes.

Laura was a Licensed Practical Nurse and in the past years worked at Lourdes Hospital and private duty. She and Bob enjoyed vacationing in several islands with friends.  They also enjoyed snowmobiling, hunting and fishing. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

The funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Barnes Kasson Hospital SNF 2872 Turnpike Street Susquehanna, Pa. 18847.
