“SWN’s Everyday Heroes initiative provides us an opportunity to build and enhance our relationship with the volunteer fire departments and other emergency response agencies that protect the things we cherish most in life. With these grants they are able to purchase much needed equipment,” said Jeff Whitehair, Area Manager for Southwestern Energy Production Company.

Since its establishment in 2008, SWN’s Everyday Heroes Initiative has distributed more than $600,000 to emergency response organizations in its operating areas. These grants are used to purchase a variety of equipment for improving operations – from radios to life-saving medical equipment.

Currently the fourth largest producer of natural gas in the continental United States, Southwestern Energy Company is a growing independent energy company primarily engaged in natural gas and crude oil exploration, development and production. Additional information can be found on the company’s website, www.swn.com.
