New Milford Borough Council President Ken Carey and Planning Commission Chairman Melissa VanZandt announced that the deadline for the return of the Borough’s community survey is April 30th. The Council and Planning Commission are preparing a comprehensive plan for New Milford Borough and are considering ways to manage growth and development and improve the community.
The surveys were recently distributed to all households and businesses in the Borough and many completed surveys have already been returned. The survey results will help the Planning Commission set the direction for the growth and development of the community over the next 10 to 15 years. The goals and objectives will address land use, open land preservation, natural resource conservation and environmental protection, the local economy, community facilities and services, housing condition and affordability, and roads and highways.
The Commission will conduct a public meeting to discuss the results of the survey with borough citizens and listen to additional comments. The Planning Commission encourages residents who have not returned the survey to participate in planning for the community’s future conservation and development by completing the survey and returning it by April 30th. Anyone who needs a survey form should contact the Borough office at 465-3394.
There will be a Memorial Service on Saturday, April 25th, 11:00 a.m. at United Methodist Church, Susquehanna, PA. Pastor Rev. Leanne Campbell officiating.
