LEE C. ALLARD
Lee C. Allard, 68 of Great Bend, PA passed away at home on March 11, 2015, surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer. He was predeceased by his father, Oliver Allard, sister, Eleanor Allard, and brother, Barry Allard.
Lee followed in his father’s footsteps and was a truck driver for most of his life as the owner of Lee Allard Trucking, Inc. He hauled many unique loads throughout his long career. Once he stopped driving truck he opened a blue stone shop which he operated until 2012. He worked hard his entire life and even after retiring was always looking for his next project. He was a member of the American Legion Post 357, Hallstead, and the V.F.W. Post 6223, Great Bend, PA and frequently donated his time and abilities to various causes. He lived life with a passion few will know. He loved to work on his equipment, listen to old country music, spend time with his children and grandchildren and his dog, Bear-who travelled everywhere with him. Some of his favorite times were spent at his “retreat” where many of his friends liked to visit and go on tour with him.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane Allard; his mother, Marjorie Allard; children, Jackie (Tom) Ayers, Sheila (Ralph) Miller, Bob (Deb) Allard Tompkins, Tammy Hadlick (James Purse), Tim (Lori) Babcock, Cassandra (Chuck) Biesecker, Lisa (Steven) Tarsia, Teresa (Andrew) Lindsey, Kimberly (Tim) Richardson; grandchildren, Thomas, Crystal, Harley, Cassandra, Jessica, Kasie, Felecia, Branden, Autumn, Vincent, Dominic, Zavier, Aiden, Damian, Colin, Emilee, Amber, Wesley, Kaleb, Kylee; great grandchildren, Nevaeh, Alexia, Caydance, Logan, Taylor, Alli, Jayne and Danny; Siblings, Roger (Beth) Allard, Sally (Rich) Niles, Elaine (Joe) Mann, and Esther (Randy) Allen.
JAMES E. CANFIELD
James E. Canfield, 80, of New Milford, PA was called home to be with the Lord on March 12, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.
He is survived by his children, Kathleen Seamans, Cindy and Thomas Mirra, Daniel Canfield and Wonda Fleming, and Paul and Mariann Canfield; seventeen grandchildren; several great grandchildren; two sisters, Charlotte Rose and Linda Lindsey; two brothers, Donald Lindsey and Edwin Lindsey; a daughter-in-law, Carol Canfield; and several nieces and nephews. Jim was predeceased by a son, James A. Canfield, brothers, Ernie, Charles, Leon, and William Canfield.
Jim was a very active outdoorsman. He enjoyed cutting the grass, cutting wood, and helping his neighbors. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends. He retired from PennDot with 33 years of service.
The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. B. Patel and Hospice of the Sacred Heart, especially Rebecca, Mary Pat, Helen, and Chaplain David Betts, for their compassionate care of dad and our family.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015 at Jim’s home, 127 Turtle Road, New Milford, PA 18834. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 600 Baltimore Drive, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
Elizabeth T. Henry
Elizabeth T. Henry, 81, of Hallstead, PA, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born on December 21, 1933 in Archbald, PA, to the late William and Wanda (Wasielski) Stachura. Her husband of 60 years, Donald H. Henry, Sr., survives.
Also surviving are her four sons and daughters-in-law, Don, Jr. and Joann Henry, Bill Henry, Steve and Kim Henry, Bob and Caren Henry, nine grandchildren and spouses, Amie (Sean) Pitman, Danielle Henry and significant other, Timm Ames, Beth Henry and significant other, Jason DiRose, Lindsey Henry and fiancé, Paul Coohill, Brooke McKee, Devin McKee, April (Matt) Holbrook, Eric (Danielle) Henry, Gregory Henry, eight great grandchildren, Dylan, Reshawn, Ava, Savannah, Teagan, Cole, Annalise, and Blake, sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Thomas Macoviak, numerous nieces, and nephews, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. She was predeceased by a sister and three brothers.
The center of Betty’s life was always her family; whether it was Sunday dinner, or the holidays; they were always spent together at the family home.
A Memorial Gathering was held at the family’s home on March 15, 2015. Memorial contributions in Betty’s memory can be sent to the Montrose Minute Men. P.O. Box 461, Montrose, PA 18801. Arrangements were through the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home.
ALAN L. RANDALL
Alan L. Randall, 66 of New Milford, PA passed away on March 13, 2015 at his home.
Alan is survived by two sons, Josh Randall and Jeremy and Dana Randall; a grandson, Alex Randall; a brother, Richard Randall; a sister-in-law, Pat Randall; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Kenneth and Helen Randall, a brother, Kenneth Eugene Randall, and a sister-in-law, Martie Randall.
Alan owned and operated Randall’s Flagstone. He is a lifetime member of the NRA. Alan enjoyed fishing, spending time with his grandson, Alex, the company of his friends and playing poker. He served his country in the Army National Guard and as a Reserve of the Army.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Hallstead, PA. Friends may call from 6-7 p.m. prior to the service.
