If you have visited the “Remember Susquehanna, Pa.” page on Facebook, or been to one of several arts and crafts shows throughout the area, no doubt you are familiar with the works of talented photographer and local historian, Jon C. Burdick.
On December 19th, you will be able to explore our area’s past like never before, as we invite you to join us for a pictorial review of the Susquehanna and surrounding areas of yesteryear. Mr. Burdick will regale us with bits of history you may not be familiar with, punctuated by many photos of our beloved town. He will also have prints for sale that evening which would make wonderful Christmas gifts for those railroad or local history buffs on your list. Please plan to join us at 7:00 pm on December 19th at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church, Main Street, Susquehanna (Basement Entrance) for this nostalgic trip back in time. There is no admission fee and light refreshments will be offered. Please note: In case of a snow or ice storm, the “Snow Date” will be January 23rd, 7:00 pm at the Church.
This presentation is sponsored by the Susquehanna Community Awareness Committee in coordination with the Susquehanna United Methodist Church.
Hope to see you there.
