GERALD “JUDD” PRICE

Gerald “Judd” Price, 55, of Oakland Township, PA entered into rest on August 1, 2014. He is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Judy.

Judd is also survived by his daughter, Jessica Cornwell and Zack Pannepacker; the love of his life, granddaughter, Jocelyn; his mother, Margureite Price; a sister, Christine and AJ Williams; a brother, Richard and Sandy Price; mother-in-law, Beverly Cornwell; brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mark and Stacey Cornwell and Karen Shiel; several nieces and nephews; and many friends, including his long time close friend, Dan Butts. He was predeceased by his father, James Price, a brother, Gary Price, his father-in-law, Richard Cornwell, and a brother-in-law, Jerry Shiel.

Judd was a skilled heavy machine operator and mechanic. He worked closely with Carl, Bill Busch, and friends in the stone quarry. He was currently employed by Tom Chilewski. Judd enjoyed his four wheeler, jeep rides, trains, his dog, Sadie, and JD. He cherished his granddaughter and his family. Judd was looking forward to walking his daughter down the aisle and gaining a son. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

At his request a celebration of his life will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA.

THOMAS ROBERT GOLKA

Thomas Robert Golka, 48, formerly of Hallstead, PA was called home to be with the Lord on August 4, 2014.  He is the son of Norma Kelly and the late John R. Golka, III.

Tom is survived by his son, Thomas Michael Golka; his sisters, Doreen and Ken Tinklepaugh, Darleen and Dan Wilbur, Patricia Golka, and Jacqueline and Ken Robinson; a brother, John Richard and Kimberly Golka IV; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Tom was a graduate of Lackawanna Community College Police Academy.  He formerly served as the police chief of Susquehanna.  Tom was a volunteer fire fighter and EMT in Great Bend.  He was also a security guard in the Federal Office Building in Binghamton, NY.  Tom dedicated his life to selflessly serving the people in his community. 

A memorial service was held Monday, August 11, 2014 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Hallstead, PA.  Inurnment will be made in Woodlawn Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lymphatic Research Foundation, 40 Garvies Point Road, Suite D, Glen Cove, NY 11542.

Dorothy Mae Arthur

Dorothy M. Arthur, 88, of Bethel Hill Road, passed away on Monday, August 4, 2014, at her home after an illness.

Dorothy was predeceased by her loving husband of 65 years Calvin Arthur in 2012.

She is survived by her 7 children; Richard and Nancy Arthur, Canton, OH, Roger and Deborah Arthur, Spotsylvania, VA, Jerry Arthur and Tammy Palmer, Hallstead, PA, Dawn Roth Susquehanna, PA, Joy and Kirk Upright, Spring Brook Twp. PA, Diane and Charles Ripple, Orson, PA, Doug and Susan Arthur, Susquehanna, PA; 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Dorothy was a member of the Susquehanna United Methodist Church. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

A memorial service was held at the Susquehanna United Methodist Church, Main St. Susquehanna, August 8, 2014, with Rev. Leanne Campbell officiating.

Burial will be in the Thompson Cemetery in Thompson, Pa.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Susquehanna United Methodist Church, Main St. Susquehanna, PA and Susquehanna Ambulance Company, PO Box 175, Susquehanna, PA.
