On Sunday, July 20th, 2014 Emily Supancik, president of the North Jackson Ag 4-H club, called the meeting to order at the Empet’s home. Adriana Zebrowski lead the pledge to the American flag, and Evan Aldridge lead the pledge to the 4-H flag. Next, Jamie Supancik gave the secretary’s report, followed by Samantha Jones giving the treasurer’s report.
Our club did a food sale at Dairy Roundup held recently at the Harford Fairgrounds as a club fundraiser. The club also helped paint the dairy/beef barn. This was a great community service to help with. August 10th through the 11th will be the District Dairy show. The 17th through the 23rd of August will be the Harford Fair. A reminder was given that all livestock members should be taking to and getting buyers interested in the livestock sale on Saturday of the Harford Fair.
During our meeting several members gave their demonstrations for the year. KayLeen Conklin gave hers on the evolution of cameras, Evan Aldrich gave his on using a livestock scale, Eli Aldrich gave his on his market goat, Austin Chisek gave his on his birds and Sam Jones gave hers on her ski trip to Snowbird.
Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center chooses William Paulin as the July Resident of the Month. Bill is the only child of Felix and Rose Zgavec Paulin. He was born July 23rd on the family farm in Herrick Center, Pa. Felix worked the family farm and was employed at Elk Mountain while Rose took care of her home and family.

Bill attended Herrick Elementary School and graduated from Forest City High School. Here he met his high school sweetheart, Mary Margaret Gatto (Pudgy). On October 21, 1961, he made her his bride and they raised their two handsome sons, William and Richard. The family settled into a comfortable home in Forest City.
Bill attended the Police Academy and served as a Forest City Police Officer for many years. He was also employed by Elk Mountain Ski Area, Ansco, and Northeast Pennsylvania Telephone Company. Bill and Mary are members of the Catholic Community of Forest City. Bill was an avid outdoorsman and hunter and a member of the Browndale Sportsman Club for many years.
At Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, Bill enjoys exercise class, picnics on the gazebo, Mass, musical entertainment and family visits. The Couple are blessed with 4 grandsons: Willy, Chad, Jared, and Eric, and a beautiful great-granddaughter, Rhyland.
A party in Bill’s honor was held on July 19th with entertainment by Kathy Donnelly.
