Turkey Federation Annual Banquet

The Wilson F. Moore chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is observing its 29th year with its annual banquet on June 7, 2014. Jack Sorber, the current chapter President who lives in Little Meadows, Pa., has a dedicated planning committee working to make the banquet another excellent event. President Sorber states that, “Our committee members, include Founding Chapter members Dave Wilcox and John Stone, represent all of those past and present people who strived to bring the wild turkey back to Susquehanna County. The NWTF through its members commitment have reestablished the wild turkey all across the US and continues improving turkey and other wildlife habitat. A special invitation is extended for all of those who have been past members of the Wilson F. Moore chapter to attend the banquet and continue your support of one of God’s creatures that you have helped to save from extinction.” You do not have to be a current NWTF member to come to this banquet. They would like all hunters, wildlife conservationists and especially our women and new youth hunters to come on out to this event.

The Hunting Heritage Banquet, a celebration of the branch’s continued dedication to the wild turkey and improvement to wildlife habitat, will be held at the Veterans of Foreign Wars banquet hall in Montrose, Pa. The VFW is located one mile east of Montrose on State route 706. The doors to the event will open at 5pm with dinner being served at 6:30. Banquet activities include games of chance for Guns, live auction for collectible items, art hunting prints and hunting equipment, early bird sportsmen’s raffle packages; special sponsor raffle packages, silent auctions and more. Banquet tickets are available.

Tickets for this event can be purchased by contacting Bob Wagner at 570-278-1011, ext. 108 or eaglexc@epix.net.
