Co. Dairy Princess Pageant Invitation
Submitted by Evie Goff, Chairperson, Susquehanna County Dairy Promotion
Mercedes Spickerman, Susquehanna County Dairy Princess from Meshoppen is about to complete her reign as County Dairy Princess. Mercedes and her Court wish to invite you to the 2014 Dairy Princess Pageant which will be held on Friday, May 23rd, 7:30 PM at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church Parish Hall, Church Street in Montrose.

Susquehanna County 2013/2014 Dairy Princess Mercedes Spickerman
During her reign as Princess, Mercedes was joined by members of her court, Dairy Maids Emory Bewley, Samantha Warner, Alexis Parks and Reese Allen promoting the dairy industry in Susquehanna County. Many school promotions took place telling school children the importance of eating three servings of dairy daily choosing milk, cheese or yogurt. Members of the Court had many dairy related articles printed in local newspapers, held farm tours at 3 different dairy farms and appeared at farm and non-farm events around Susquehanna County. This is a tremendous accomplishment for Susquehanna County’s dairy promotion team.
Pennsylvania’s State Dairy Princess Lu-Anne Antisdel, from Bradford County, will be speaking at Pageant about some of her experiences serving Pennsylvania’s dairy industry.
Former Susquehanna County Dairy Princesses will once again be presenting the evening’s program. A dairy promotion scholarship will be presented as well as promotion and scrapbook awards.
County Dairy Princess Mercedes Spickerman will give her farewell speech highlighting her achievements. Current members of the Dairy Court, Emory Bewley, Samantha Warner, Alexis Parks and Reese Allen will each speak about their dairy promotion work as well as the new girls that will be joining the Susquehanna County team, Katrina Vidota, Alivia Hughes, Kaelynn Brant, Kendra Brant and Megan Johns.
The Pageant will conclude with Mercedes crowning our two Dairy Princess Candidates, Rachel Johnson and Rachael Grosvenor, one as the Alternate Dairy Princess and one as the 2014/2015 Susquehanna County Dairy Princess.
A reception for the Dairy Princesses and Court will follow with refreshments provide by the Dairy Promotion Committee.
The public is invited to join us at our Dairy Princess Pageant celebrating the dedicated dairy farmers in Susquehanna County and all the work the Dairy Princess and her Court do to promote dairy.
Hope you enjoy your “3 Every Day” of dairy.
For more information please call Evie Goff at 570-278-1212.
