Lillian Ingoglia

Lillian Ingoglia, 94, passed away at Barnes-Kasson Hospital on Friday, August 9, 2013.  

She was one of nine children all of whom predeceased her. She was born in Brooklyn, New York on September 30, 1918 and married Jerry Ingoglia on September 30, 1939. Jerry and Lillian traveled the world before his death on August 31, 2003.

She was a beloved mother of two daughters Gerry Nelson and Gloria Wheeler, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was survived by Gerry and Jack Nelson of Susquehanna PA and Gloria and Edward Wheeler of East Meadow, New York.

Cherished grandmother of John and Stefanie Nelson, Kristin Wheeler, Edward and Doreen Wheeler, Kyra and Richard McElligott and  great-grandmother of Alexx Nelson, Tristan and Quinn Cave and Kelsey, Kalea and Keegan McElligott.

Funeral arrangements were held at O’Shea Funeral Home in Wantagh, New York on August 12, 2013, burial was at St. Charles Cemetry, Farmingdale NY.  Donations in Lillian's name can be made to the Medical Surgical Department at Barnes-Kasson Hospital, 2872 Turnpike St., Susquehanna PA 18847 in memory of Lillian Ingoglia.

TANYA M. WILLIAMS ROSS

Tanya M. Williams Ross, 28, of Montrose, PA passed away on August 16, 2013.

She leaves behind, her beloved children, Dylan and Chelsey Ross. Also are her parents, Guy and Melody Williams, Hallstead, PA; two sisters, Chastity Carlin and fiancé David Bartosik, and April Williams and fiancé Carl Steele; a brother, Chad Williams and fiancée, Trina Miller; maternal grandmother, June and Kenneth Rose; paternal grandmother, Barbara Williams; 2 nieces, Harley and Alivia; 3 nephews, Tyler, Zackary, Chance; two very close friends, Bonnie Henry and Jen Gerrity; the father of her children, Curtis Ross; and many extended family members and friends.

Tanya felt at home, with her children, on the beach next to the ocean. She loved her role as a mother, spending quality time with her children, at the park, camping, and reading to them. She also enjoyed spending time with her friends and family. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Interment will be made in Brookdale Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pennstar Bank, Route 11, Mountain View Plaza, Hallstead, PA to assist with the funeral expenses.

Elmer Zaverton

Elmer Zaverton, 84, of Ararat Township, PA made his final flight on August 17, 2013, going home to be with the Lord. He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Helen.

He is also survived by four children, Michael Zaverton, OH, Kevin Zaverton, Kirkwood, NY, Karen and John Kuzma, Endicott, NY, and Timothy and Laura Zaverton, NC; six grandchildren, Trevor, Alexis, Kasey, Kyle, Kaitlyn, and Jamie; a brother, Joseph and Bernice Zaverton; a sister, Barbara Tedick; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Patti, Ann, Agnes, George and Eileen Banicky, John and Lillian Banicky; several nieces and nephews; and his beloved canine companion, Max. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Stephen, brothers, William, Daniel, Raymond, Eugene, and sisters, Elizabeth and Marie.

Elmer was a proud veteran, serving with the US Air Force during WWII. He had a passion for flying and was the owner of Zaverton Airport in South Montrose. He repaired, built, and restored many air planes. An old German War Plane he restored was of great interest to the Smithsonian Museum. Elmer was an accomplished stone and brick mason and contractor. Much of his work is displayed across Broome and Susquehanna Counties on many churches and homes. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion, Post #86 and the Thompson Baptist Church. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend.

A funeral service was held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Interment will be made in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson Ambulance Service, P.O. Box, Thompson, PA 18465.
