Robert E. Baehler, 87, passed away at his home, Beaver Run, in Harford, PA, on Saturday, August 10, 2013. He was born on January 7, 1926, in New Orleans, LA, to the late Lloyd A. and Mary (Bertolotti) Baehler.
Surviving is longtime companion, Valerie Ravenhill, four daughters and sons-in-law, Linda Fredericks, Judith and Richard Ryerson, Barbara and Robert Mellon, Katherine and Rolf Olsen, 8 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, and his beloved dog, Scruffy.
Bob was proud of his naval service having served in WW II and Korea. He owned his own newspaper at one time, the Jackson Times, and retired as an Advertising Executive in New York City. He spent his retirement beautifying the world around him; at Beaver Run; by planting flowers, plants and trees. He was a natural leader and teacher, and was always full of energy, ideas, and inventions. Bob was a member of Mensa and enjoyed fixing clocks as a hobby.
A Visitation will be held at from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, a graveside service will be held in the Calverton National Cemetery, Calverton, L.I., NY, at a later date.
