JOHN E. HARDING

John E. Harding, 82, of Hallstead, PA went home to be with the Lord on July 3, 2013. He was the son of the late John G. and Sophie Tabish Harding.

John is survived by his children, Cheryl Kardjian, Syracuse, NY, Carol Harding, Texas, Vincent and Karen Harding, Ringwood, NJ, Kathy Grenier, Lancaster, PA, and John and Kelly Harding, Montrose, PA; fifteen grandchildren; a sister, Isabelle Harding, Philadelphia, PA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was born in a small coal mining town in Pennsylvania during the depression. He graduated from Blythe Township High School and joined the Army. He proudly served with the Army and retired after 20 years. John was called back to duty in 1990 for Operation Desert Storm. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. John was a devout member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. He always enjoyed a challenging debate and lively conversation. John was an excellent father, grandfather, and neighbor. He loved his family dearly and was always ready to help anyone in need. He will be missed.

A Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 and at 9:00 a.m. at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Interment will be made in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Middleport, PA.

Dorothy Amelia Snyder

Dorothy Amelia Snyder, 81, of State Street Oakland, Pa. passed away Thursday July 4, 2013 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital.

She was born in Thompson, Pa. the daughter of the late Fred & Rena (Westgate) Crandall. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years George Snyder, Jr.; son George Snyder, III and son-in-law Joe Skiba.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters Carol Skiba; Cindy & Vincent LoVuolo; brother Donald Crandall; sister Virginia & Richard Tripp; five grandchildren Joseph & Kathy Skiba IV; April & Dean Rhone; Barbra & Robert Presley; Kristina LoVuolo; Angela LoVuolo; nine great grandchildren Micaela Rhone; Miranda Rhone; Alexia Presley; Mckenzie Rhone; Austin Presley; Danielle Skiba; Ava Presley; Alanah Proutey; Miguel Enriquez; several nieces and nephews.

Dorothy worked at Arrow Spinning in Susquehanna before her retirement. She enjoyed dancing, shopping and visiting with her friends at the Churchview Apartments, but she loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren.

A private funeral service was held by the family. Burial was in the Rosehill Cemetery in Hallstead, Pa.
