BRSD Presents Annual Concert In the Park

The Blue Ridge School District Fine Arts Department will be hosting its second annual Spring Concert in the Park on May 22nd, 2013 at Mid-Town Park on Main Street in New Milford. Festivities begin at 6:30pm and will feature performances by all four Blue Ridge concert bands. Performances will include regionally and nationally recognized soloists, performing with the Blue Ridge High School Concert Band. During the performances, members of the Blue Ridge Art Department will have art displays and interactive art activities for children of all ages. The concert and arts festival are free and open to the public.

Pickett’s Offices To Help County Residents

Susquehanna County residents who need assistance cutting through government red tape or who are seeking information about state legislation are encouraged to stop by Rep. Tina Pickett’s (R-Bradford/Sullivan/Susquehanna) satellite office hours in Lawton in May.

“My staff is available at each of our satellite offices to help residents with any type of state-related issue,” said Pickett. “From complicated Penn DOT paperwork issues to information about current state legislation or new laws, we have been able to assist thousands of residents over the years get the help they need. I encourage any area resident to stop by my satellite office hours and see what we can do to help.”

In Susquehanna County, Pickett’s staff will be available from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of the month – May 8 and May 22. The office is located on State Route 706 at Flynn’s Consignment Shop in Lawton. This office can be reached by calling (570) 934-2557.

Pickett’s staff can also help with a number of other items, including: Information about legislation and new laws, Driver’s license and vehicle registration applications and renewals, Assistance with Penn DOT paperwork (lost cards, changes, corrections, special registration plates, vanity plates, and temporary placards for disabled persons), PACE and PACENET applications for seniors, State tax forms, Student aid applications and Referrals to agencies to resolve state-related matters.
