Warrick C. Arthur went home to his Lord on Sunday, October 28, 2012 after many years of battling MS. Warrick was born in Oneonta, NY and lived in Lanesboro, PA until he and his wife moved to Naples, Florida. He was 88 years old and has lived in Bradenton, Florida for the past 14 years. He graduated from Laurel Street High School in 1944. He retired from Cheveron and also served as Lanesboro Tax Collector for several years before moving to Florida. Warrick was predeceased by his parents Charles and Mildred Arthur of Lanesboro, PA, and his brother Charles Arthur Jr. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Bertha (Berish) Arthur; His brother and sister-in-law Wayne and Joan Arthur of Susquehanna, PA; , his son and daughter-in-law Ron and Shirley Arthur of Bonita Springs, Fla, his daughter and son-in-law Constance and Ted Cuevas of Bradenton, Fla.; his son and daughter-in-law Jim and Kim Arthur of Binghamton, NY; His grandchildren Robin and Dave Glidden, Scott Carpenter, Christine and Tim Kordt, and Kasie Arthur; his great-grandchildren Lindsey Glidden, Tyler Carpenter, Zoe Carpenter, Brinley Carpenter, and Wrigley Kordt; several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, nieces, and nephews who all will cherish the memories of his excellent sense of humor and the never ending love he had for all his family. There will be a memorial service at a later date. For anyone wishing to express their sympathy to his wife, Bertha (Bert) she is residing at 912 68th Ave Drive West, Bradenton, Fla 34207 with her daughter, Conne.
Phyllis Frances White, 85, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at home after an illness.
She was born in Susquehanna, the daughter of the late Peter and Fulvia DeLarco.
She was predeceased by her husband of 60 years, Frank E. White, who was the love of her life, brothers Emanuel and Trieste DeLarco, sister Reggetta (Peggy) Lee.
Phyllis is survived by a brother and sister-in-law; Lorenzo and Fern Delarco, Florida, sister Louise Wayman, Binghamton, NY, sister-in-law; Lena Rinker, Hallstead, PA, she was loved and cared for by her nieces and nephews; George and Patricia Newberry and Emanuel and Janette DeLarco. She was loved by her many other nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren and friends who really loved her.
Known as Aunt Frances, she loved fishing trips to Canada every year with her family and gardening and planning family get-togethers. Her greatest joy was a trip to breakfast every morning with her sister-in-law. She was a very kind person and was always thinking of others before herself. Phyllis was also a member of St. John’s Church of Susquehanna, PA.
The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 16, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA with Rev. David Cramer officiating.
Burial will be in St. John’s Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6 to 8pm.
