ROBERTA JEAN HOULIHAN

Roberta Houlihan, 70, New Milford Township, PA, passed away peacefully at her home after a brief battle with cancer on September 17, 2012. She is survived by her life partner of 26 years, Joseph MacConnell.

She is also survived by two children, Timothy Houlihan and Rebecca Fekette; her pride and joy, four grandchildren, Riley, Megan, Hayleigh, and Erin; two sisters, Kathy Borowicz and Peg (Doran) McNamara; a half brother, M.T. Hall; and several nieces, nephews, and special family friends. She was predeceased by her mother, Jean McNamara, two sisters, Beatrice Rockwell and Patricia Brainard, and was widowed by J. Paul Houlihan.

Roberta was a successful business woman, operating Houlihan’s Hardware for a number of years before moving into Real Estate at Woodland Real Estate with her lifelong friend, Donna Fekette. She took great joy in all activities pertaining to her grandchildren: racing, basketball, dance, cheerleading, and “playing cards with Grandma.” One of her passions was her love for horses, leading the Green Valley 4-H Club for 17 years, as well as Tim and Becky’s nationally competitive showing years. She particularly enjoyed hours of trail riding with Joe and many good friends.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 21, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc., Hallstead, PA. Friends may call from 2-4 and 7-9 on Thursday. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 207 Locust Street, Montrose, PA 18801 or your charity of your choice in her name.

Leo S. Lewis

Leo S. Lewis,73, of Beaver Hollow Road Starrucca, Pa. passed away Friday September 21, 2012 at the Community Hospice Care in Dunmore, Pa after an illness.

Leo was born in Starrucca, Pa. the son of the late George and Cora (Bennett) Lewis, Sr.

He was predeceased by one daughter Pauline Lewis and one brother George Lewis, Jr.

He is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Leo & Vonnie Lewis, Jr.; John & Darla Lewis; three daughters and two sons-in-law Mary & Chester Bieloski; Sue & Bruce Burnham; Vicke Panetti; one brother Ray Lewis; 10 grandchildren , 5 great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Leo enjoyed being a mechanic and watching Mike Colsten race. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

A memorial service was held at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, on Monday, September 24, 2012, at 5pm. with Kellee Bosket officiating.

DONNA T. NORTON

December 29, 1942 – September 7, 2012

Donna T. Norton (Tingley) 69, of the Woodlans, Texas (formerly of Susquehanna) passed away after a illness on Friday, September 7th, 2012 at her home.

She was predeaceased by her parents Mason and Laverne Tingley. Donna was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, David; daughter Jennifer (Jeffrey) Bruno of The Woodlands; sons Derek (Pamela) of Alexandria, Va; and Bradford Norton of LeHavre, France. Al s surviving are 4 brothers, Donald (Melissa) Tingley; Gary (Pam) Tingley; Richard (Carol) Tingely and Terry (Elizabeth) Tingley. Four grandchildren Deya and Parker Norton and Tyson and Marek Bruno and several nieces and nephews. The love and devotion she had for her family will be forever cherished.

Funeral services were held in the Chapel of Forest Park, The Woodlands.
