Norman N. Norton, Sr.

Norman N. Norton, Sr., 73, of Norton Road New Milford, Pa. passed away Sunday, May 13, 2012 at home after an illness.

He was predeceased by his parents, Chester and Clara Norton, his brother, Chester Norton and sister, Evelyn Holly.

Norman was survived by his loving wife, Tammy (Lewis) Norton, daughter Michelle Rae Norton, son Kaleb Norton, son Ryan Loke, son Gary Loke Jr. all of New Milford, PA; daughter, and son-in-law, Becky and Ray Williams of Berwick, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Joseph Maltese of Newfoundland, PA; son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Kristina Norton of New Milford, PA; son, Norm Norton Jr. and Anne Bench of Hallstead, PA; 8 grandchildren, and 1 great-grandson; brother-in-law, Shane and Margaret Lewis of Jackson, PA; sister-in-law, Debbie and Dennis Urso; sister-in-law, Kathy Thompkins; niece Kimberly and Webster Roberts; several great-nieces, nephews and cousins.

Norman was the founder and owner of Norm Norton’s Body Shop in Clarks Summit, PA for over 40 years. After, he became the founder and owner of Norm Norton’s Stone, where he operated many bluestone quarries. Norman also had a passion for racing and was recognized for being one of the top 50 drivers of all time at Five Mile Point Speedway. Most of all though he was a very loving father and husband who will be dearly missed.

A funeral service was held Thursday, May, 17, 2012 at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA, with Pastor Gary Day.

Burial was held in the Lakeview Cemetery, Lakeview, PA.

PEARL A. WILLIAMS

Pearl A. Williams, 93, formerly of the Kime Apartments, Great Bend, PA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on May 19, 2012 at Barnes-Kasson SNF. She also rejoined her husband, Howard “Slim” who predeceased her in December 1984, a son, Harold, two sisters and brothers-in-law, Marion and Graham Gulick and Gladys and George Troup, and two brothers, Walter Brown and Duane Brown.

Pearl is survived by a daughter-in-law, Sue and Bob Simms; two grandchildren, Beth Williams and Mark Williams; three great grandchildren; special nephews, Dennis Troup and George and Darlene Troup; and special niece, Karen and Phil Sanborn; friends, Ed Krayeski and Louise Ackley; and several other nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Pearl was a faithful member of the United Methodist Community Church and served in many capacities, including the Van Coordinator for many years. She had a green thumb and also was formerly the assistant manager at Blue Ridge Senior Center. She was a life member of both the V.F.W. Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary. Pearl was employed as a heel flattener at Endicott-Johnson prior to her retirement.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Inc. Interment will be made in Rose Hill Cemetery, Hallstead, PA. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to Barnes-Kasson SNF, Activity Fund, 2872 Turnpike Street, Susquehanna, PA 18847.
