The Born To Show 4-H Club held its first meeting of the year, on March 23 and I, Jacob Craige, was elected as our club’s news reporter. I wasn’t really sure what to do at first because, I never did it before but I’ll get the hang of it. Our meeting was held at the Penn State Extension office. It was really fun, until I poked a pencil in my leg! We had a really good time. When we started, our 4-H leaders told us all about the club, like books we were supposed to have.

We elected our club officers for this year. They are President Trevor Tompkins, Vice President Evan Castrogiovanni, Secretary Douglas Brooks, Treasurer Alex Bonavita, News Reporter Jacob Craige, and Social Chairs Michayla Stahl and Cody Malloy.

We talked about special events such as our community service project, club fundraiser, and what projects everyone is planning to take. And there were a lot of questions. But it was a lot of fun, and if you’re interested in 4-H, come on over to “Born to Show.” Our next meeting will be on Friday, April 20 at 7:00 p.m. at the Tompkins’ Farms located near Montrose.
