RUTH C. PRICE
Ruth joined her Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 12, 2012. She was predeceased by her son, Raymond Price; and her parents, Edward and Susan Van Aken.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, Eugene Price; son Kevin and wife Margi and their children Bryan and Craig; daughter Rachel and husband Bob and their children Ryan and Meghan; daughter-in-law Rita Price and her children Claressa and husband Greg, and Hannah; daughter Susan Price and friend Bob; her sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jane and Robert Reddon; her sister-in-law and husband Judy and Michael Vaccaro; her sisters-in-law Ruth Ellen and Mary Price; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graduate from CH Wilson School of Nursing, Ruth was employed as a registered nurse at Barnes Kasson Hospital, and after continuing her education became a Home Health Administrator. Ruth’s devotions went far beyond her career, especially as seen in her strong faith. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church, volunteering with the children and sharing her many talents with the choir, Awanas, dinners and religious productions. Her enthusiasm for life spread to the sidelines as she cheered for both kids and grandkids with the signature cowbell. Ruth’s scenic paintings, a stroke of artistic flair, adorn the walls of loved ones. She loved golfing and bowling with her great friends, always a time for much laughter and fun. Never one to be idle, she also volunteered and contributed much to civic and community organizations. Her passion for her many activities never faltered but nothing compares to her dedication to her loving husband and family. Their home was the gathering place for generations of family, and so many friends who became part of the family. Such pride is reflected in the touches of love, from the kitchen to the gardens to the pool. Her grandchildren brought her a special joy, as she nurtured them through each stage of life. Ruth blessed us all with such strength, courage and love. We will truly miss her.
