SARA CLARKE IVESON

Sara Ann Clarke Iveson, 64, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2012, at the Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. "Sally," as we all called her, was born on August 5, 1947 in Scranton, PA.

Sally was the wife of the late William D. Iveson. Bill and Sally were married 40 wonderful, love filled years. She is also predeceased by her mother, Sara Michael Clarke; her father William E. Clarke; and father-in-law, David G. Iveson.

Surviving are her four children, William and Mary Iveson, Michael and Kelly Iveson, Sara and Joseph Adornato, and Robert Iveson; eight grandchildren, Kyleigh, Bridget, Victoria, Amanda, Lexis, Alexandra, Sara, and Anthony; brother and sister-in-law, William and Janice Clarke; mother-in-law Loretta Iveson; brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws David and Kathy Iveson, Jane and Edward Deitrick, and Richard and Elizabeth Iveson; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Sally was a 1965 graduate of Susquehanna High School. She was a graduate of Marywood College, where she earned her degree in Business Management and Accounting. She also attended Empire State College for Community and Health Care Services. Sally worked for 43 years at Barnes-Kasson Hospital. Sally started at the hospital in the accounting department and in 1982 became the Executive Director. Sally dedicated her life to and was passionate about the hospital, community, and all of the staff that worked with her to help the hospital succeed. In her spare time, Sally especially enjoyed her Friday nights out at the Hair Zoo and late night trips to the casino. Sally also enjoyed her travels with her late husband Bill, family, and her several close friends.

A funeral service was held Friday, February 10, 2012 at Hennessey's Funeral Home, 747 Jackson Ave., Susquehanna, PA. Burial was held in the South Gibson Cemetery, South Gibson, PA.

The family would like to extend their most sincere thanks and appreciation to all of the physicians and staff at Barnes-Kasson Hospital for their compassionate care, kindness, and concern for Sally during her illness. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Barnes-Kasson County Hospital, Susquehanna, PA.

THOMAS J. STOUT

Thomas J. Stout, 60, of Susquehanna, PA, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 7, 2012, at the Wilson Memorial Hospital with family and friends by his side.

Tom was predeceased by his father Floyd J. Stout and mother Mary F. Stout.

He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Karin Stout; brother and sister-in-law Joe and Marcia Stout; Girlfriend of 25 years Elaine Powers and her sons Randy Powers Jr. and June Benner, Brad Powers, and Jason Powers; Grandchildren, Cora Stout, Brooke Bowen, Triston Bowen, Jamie Powers and friend Jordan Cody, Carly Powers, Logan Powers, Alex Powers, and Nevaeh Powers; and great grandchild Marlee Cody.

Tom was a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #794, and an active member of the Susquehanna Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed coaching baseball and football, stock car racing, and was an avid golfer.

A mass of Christian burial was held at the St. John’s Church in Susquehanna, PA, on Saturday, February 11, 2012, with Rev. David Cramer officiating.

Burial was held in the North Jackson Cemetery, North Jackson, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.

DONALD G. BEESMER

Donald G. Beesmer, 78, of Stone Road, West Hurley, died Tuesday, February 7, 2012 at Benedictine Hospital with his wife and family by his side.

Born in Stony Hollow, October 8, 1933, he was the son of the late Henry and Naomi Baker Beesmer.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy from 1951-1954 having served in the Korean Conflict on the USS McNair. He worked at The Hudson Cement Company and was a well-known Contractor in the area doing business as Don Beesmer Construction, Inc. from 1973-2011. He is a Former President and member of the Morgan Hill Gun Club, a coach and sponsor of teams in the Town of Ulster Sandlot League and a Life Member of the Joyce-Schirick VFW Post# 1386. Donald was a member of the Hurley Town Planning Board. He was a Trustee and Faithful supporter for over 30 years of the Evangelical Wesleyan Churches of Lake Idlewild and Great Bend, PA where his Step-Son Rev. Donald Snedeker currently pastors.

He is survived by his loving wife and Companion for over 37 years Virginia Whitaker Beesmer of West Hurley; his two daughters, Debra Volke of Lula, GA and Donna Steinhilber of Alpharetta, GA; his four stepsons, Rev. Donald Snedeker of Clifford Township, PA, Randy Snedeker of Gloversville, NY, Brian Bagalonis and Thomas Bagalonis of West Hurley; his five brothers William, Gary and Fredrick Beesmer of West Hurley and Richard and Kenneth Beesmer of Kingston; his five sisters, Marion Jones, Dolores West, Judy Koplovitz and Mattie Hofbauer of Kingston and Marlene Perry of Connelly, NY; his 19 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

He is predeceased by his brothers George, Henry, Glenn, Roger and James Beesmer.

A Funeral Service was conducted on Saturday, February 11 at the funeral home, by the Rev. Donald Snedeker & Presiding Bishop W.L. Sarber of the Evangelical Wesleyan Church. Interment followed with military honors by Joyce-Schirick Post 1386 Color Guard, in Mt. Marion Cemetery.

DANIEL HAROLD SWACKHAMMER II

Daniel Harold Swackhammer II, 68, of Thompson, PA passed away Friday February 3, 2012 at VA Medical Center in Syracuse, NY after an extended illness.

He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather Clara and Milton Kany; father Daniel; sisters Leona Race and Marge Terry; father-in-law and mother-in-law Joseph and Ellen Pooler.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Shirley (Pooler); daughter Julie and Steve Gall; son Daniel and grandson Ben; brother Edward and Becky Swackhammer; sisters Donna Harbin, Barb and Rick Bates; in-laws Beverly Smith and Brian Burman, Charles Pooler and Lila Hayes, Peggie and Larry Pickering, Joe Pooler and Clinton Smith; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

He was a veteran of the United States Army and a retired carpenter of Union 281 and a skilled mechanic. His greatest love was hunting in Maine and riding his motorcycle.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 1 p.m. at the American Legion Post #86 Main St. Susquehanna with Rev. Carl Batzel officiating.

The burial will be in the Stevens Point Cemetery.
