JOYCE A. PAGE
Joyce A. Page, 63, of New Milford, PA entered into rest peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on November 30, 2011. She is survived by her loving husband of 30 years, Don Page.
Also surviving is a son, Brian Thomas; a special son and daughter, Tom and Cindy Mirra; a daughter Jody Hall and companion, Jim Rogers; three grandchildren, Tiffany and Ryan Parry, Brant Thomas, and Brienna Thomas; a great granddaughter, Olivia Page Parry; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Lorraine Swartwood, Robert and Donna Page, Robert and Anne Nugent, and Richard and Joyce Prochaska; two close nephews, Craig and Michael; many other nephews, nieces, and extended family members; a special friend, Greg Grover; and her companion dog, Gilly. She was predeceased by two daughters, Valarie Jean Page and Vicki Lynn Page; one brother, Thomas Swartwood; and a close friend, Ruth Stevens.
Joyce really enjoyed her crafts, shopping, restoring antiques, interior design, including painting. Deep appreciation is extended to Mary Pat and Rebecca of Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their exceptional care.
A private graveside service will be held in New Milford Cemetery.

ROBERT W. KLENK
Robert W. Klenk, 90, of Harford, PA passed away, Monday, November 28, 2011 at Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center, Forest City, PA. Born December 11, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Walter and Effie [Gebert] Klenk.
He was a graduate of Olney High School Class of 1937, Mastbaum Vocational School Class of 1939, East Stroudsburg Teachers College Class of 1950 with a B.S. in Health & Physical Education & Driver Education, Pennsylvania State University, Class of 1956 with a M.Ed. in Educational Administration.
During World War II, Mr. Klenk served in the Coast Guard and the Navy. From 1942-1944, he was stationed in the Philippines on a sub-chaser. In 1944, he attended the U.S. Navy V-5 Flight Training School. During his years in the Coast Guard, he played on a championship basketball team and he participated in varsity football at St. Olaf College in Minnesota while with the Navy V-5 Program.
After the war, he married Miriam Seager in 1948. He then completed his education at East Stroudsburg University and took a job as a coach and teacher at Harford High School. In 1956, he became the principal of Mountain View High School where he served for twenty years. From 1976-1981, he held the position of principal in the Mountain View Elementary Schools. Although he retired as principal, he continued to substitute teach and to stay involved in activities at Mountain View for many years. Because of his dedication to this school community, the Mountain View School Board recognized him as an Honorary Alumnus in 1981. Later, the Mountain View Alumni Association honored him with the title “Mr. Mountain View” in 2006. One of his greatest honors, in which he took great pride, was the naming of the MVHS athletic fields, the “Robert W. Klenk Athletic Complex” in 2001.
He held positions in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) as a high school basketball, baseball and track official. He was secretary-treasurer of the District 12 PIAA Committee and a member of the PIAA State Board of Control. In 1979 he received the Joe M. Butler Award for sports from the Scranton Times and was inducted into the NEPA Sports Hall of Fame in 1998.
His other activities and memberships include Harford Congregational United Church of Christ, Harford, PA where he served as the church treasurer for 25 years, Scranton-Pocono Girl Scout Council where he served on the Board of Directors for 40 years as well holding the treasurer position and other committee positions. He also held positions on the Board of Directors of the Pocono Environmental Education Center for 3 years, Board of Directors for Fairview State Hospital, Director of Region III Pennsylvania Association of School Retirees for 4 years, and Harford Lodge #445 F & AM for 50 years where he served as the Lodge Master in 1960.
Mr. Klenk was a long-time member of the New Milford Rotary Club where he was the Paul Harris Fellowship Award recipient. He always enjoyed working with the Student Exchange Program and coordinated visits and activities for many international students.
In recognition of Mr. Klenk’s commitment to education, a scholarship was founded in his name. The Robert W. Klenk Scholarship with The Community Foundation provides tuition assistance to future Mountain View graduates who will work toward a degree in education during their college careers.
Mr. Klenk was dedicated to his family and to the community in which he lived. He had a passion for travel and he and his wife, Mimi, traveled extensively throughout the United States. His love of sports, especially Penn State football, was an especially important delight in his life. He cherished the times he spent sharing a sporting event of any kind with his children and grandchildren. Above all, Mr. Klenk will be remembered as a great man with integrity and a love for his family and community.
Survivors include his loving wife: Miriam Dohner Klenk of Harford, PA; daughter: Susan Rikkola of Randolph, NJ; sons & daughters-in-law: Robert Walter, Jr. & Rita Klenk of Newtown Square, PA, Scott David Klenk of Slingerlands, NY, Jeffrey Alan & Mei Hong Klenk of Schenectady, NY; grandchildren: Matthew & Ana Rikkola, Katie Rikkola, Nicole, Jonathan and Emilie Klenk, Ian Klenk; great grandson: Gavin Rikkola; sister: Doris Grimes of Hellertown, PA; brother & sister-in-law: William & Kay Klenk of Gibsonia, PA; nieces & nephews.

Memorial Service, Masonic Service & Military Service: 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 11, 2011 at Mountain View High School Auditorium, 11748 State Route 106, Kingsley, PA 18826.
The family will greet friends and family immediately following the service on Sunday. There will be no calling hours before the service.

RALPH H. BARNARD
Ralph H. Barnard, 91, of Prospect Street, Susquehanna, PA, passed away Sunday, December 4, 2011 at the Barnes Kasson Hospital SNF in Susquehanna, PA.
He was born April 24, 1920 in Luzerne, PA to the late Charles & Ethel Barnard. He was predeceased by one sister Lois Lamoreaux; two brothers, George Barnard and Harold Barnard.
Ralph is survived by his wife 49 years Kathryn; one daughter Bonnie & Edwin Roth, Binghamton, NY; three stepsons James & Kathy Crawford, Roger Crawford, Ronald & Susan Crawford all of Susquehanna; two stepdaughters Beverly & Gerry Parks, Windsor, NY, Daniel & Carole Klym, Susquehanna; one sister Dorothy Shelley, Luzerne, PA; 19 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; several nieces and nephews.
Ralph retired from the Erie Lackawanna Railroad after many years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II, a 50 years member of the Canawacta Masonic Lodge #360, served on the Board of Directors for the Barnes Kasson Hospital and a member of the Susquehanna United Methodist Church.
Ralph was a very generous and loving husband, father and grandpa and will be dearly missed by all.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 6 at the Hennessey’s Funeral Home 747 Jackson Ave. Susquehanna, PA with Rev. James Rouse officiating.
Burial was in the Chapel Lawn Memorial Park in Dallas, PA.
