JOHN E. WATTS
John “Jack” E. Watts, 79, of Montrose, PA passed away, Friday, November 18, 2011 at Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA. Born August 29, 1932 in East Orange, NJ, he was the son of John and Edna [Siemsen] Watts. His wife Joan E. [Koch] Watts predeceased him on August 13, 2011.
He retired from the Morris County Prosecutors Office as Lieutenant of Detectives after 26 years of service.
Jack served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Cincinnati Masonic F & AM, Morristown, NJ, Ayres-Stone VFW Post# 5642, Montrose, PA, American Legion Gardner-Warner Post #154, Montrose, PA, Morris County Detective Association and the New Jersey State Policemens Benevolent Assoication #133 & #327.
Survivors include his children and their spouses, John P. and Laura Watts, Montrose, PA, Jill and Gary Kimsey, Montrose, PA, Suzanne J. and Howard Forbes, Maui, HI; 7 grandchildren, Brad, John and Kyle Watts, Sarah and Kurt Kimsey, Lindsay and Brandon Forbes; significant other, Phyllis Valentine, Montrose, PA; brother, Drew Watts, Brodheadsville, PA; niece, Kimberly Bryant, Parsippany, NJ.
Besides his parents and wife, he was predeceased by his sister, Edna Alford.

A Prayer Service was held Sunday, November 20 at the funeral home, and Graveside Services were held Monday, November 21 at East Bridgewater Cemetery, Route 167 South, Montrose, PA.

RUTH-ANNE GALLINGER
Ruth-Anne [Spurrier] Gallinger, 76, of Harford, PA passed away, Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Lackawanna Health & Rehab Center, Olyphant, PA. Born January 24, 1935 in New Bedford, MA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Percy M. and Eva J. [Dowds] Spurrier.
She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a B.A degree. She raised her four children in New York and Michigan, volunteered and was active in her community and in churches wherever she was. For the last 10 years, she and her husband spent time in Fort Myers, Florida
She was a member of The First Congregational UCC church in Harford, PA
Survivors include Husband, Kenneth D. Gallinger of Harford, PA; daughter and son-in-law, Kay and Gene Diebler of Perry, MI; sons and daughters-in-law, Kurt and Dawn Gallinger of Brighton, MI, Geoffrey and Vicki Gallinger of Birmingham, MI, Randy Gallinger of Grand Blanc, MI; 7 grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law , Elaine and Corbett Pittman of FL; brother and sister-in-law, Bruce and Ida Spurrier of WI.
In addition to her parents, 4 siblings predeceased her.
Services will be held Saturday, November 26, 2011 at The First Congregational UCC Church, Harford, PA. The family will receive friends Saturday at the conclusion of service.

CYRUS RAY SMITH
Cyrus Ray Smith, 78, of Montrose, PA, passed away on Thursday, November 17, 2011, at the Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose, PA, after a brief illness. He was born in West Chester, PA to the late Albert and Alice Amelia (Hunter) Smith.
Surviving are is his wife of 49 years, Karol Ann (Boston) Smith, Montrose, PA; son, Ray A. Smith, Montrose, PA; daughter, Sandra D. Smith, Austin, TX; niece, Jane Sattelberg, Colorado. His sister, Dorothy Snook also predeceased him.
Ray was former member of Bannockburn Baptist Church, Austin, TX, present member of Bridgewater Baptist Church, Montrose, PA. He lived around Chester County, PA until 1949, when the family moved to South Montrose, PA. Ray worked as a farm hand until joining the Air Force in May 1955. After retiring from the Air Force, he worked as a service technician for Pat Macken Sales & Service/Advanced Business Solutions, until moving to Montrose, PA in December of 1993. He was a volunteer driver for the Area Agency on the Aging from 1996 until his health prevented him from continuing. Ray was a model train aficionado.
A Funeral Service was held Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, PA, with Pastor Bob Kadlecik of the Bridgewater Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the South Montrose Cemetery.
