Math Counts At MV

Mountain View students in grades 6, 7 and 8 put their math problem solving skills to the test at the annual Math Counts competition sponsored by Northeast Chapter - Pennsylvania Society of Professional Engineers at Penn State Worthington. Students competed as a grade 6 team, a grade 7 and 8 team, and individually. This was the first year Mountain View students placed in the top ten. Students Jacob Buranski and Ali Showalter placed ninth and tenth, respectively, in the individual competition, bringing home trophies after matching wits in a countdown round going head-to-head with other top ten finalists.
