The Susquehanna County Commissioners announce the Courthouse will be closed on Monday, July 4, in observance of Independence Day. All court related offices will be available.
Open Meetings - Right To Know Seminar On Thursday, July 14, Northeast Pennsylvania Spirit Of 1776 will sponsor an Open Meetings - Right to Know seminar at the Jackson Baptist Church, State Route 92, in Jackson, at 6:00 p.m. The seminar is an overview of the statutes dealing with the Open Meetings and Sunshine Laws and will be conducted by attorneys from the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records in Harrisburg, PA. The seminar is open to all citizens and county, school and local municipal officials. Registration for this free seminar is now open. Taste Of Summer Event Approaching The 3rd annual “Taste of Summer” will be held on Thursday, July 14. The event will run from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and will be held along the Susquehanna River at the Mountain View Plaza, Hallstead. Taste of Summer will feature local restaurants showcasing signature items ranging from appetizers to main courses to delicious desert displays. Music and raffles will complete the evening. All proceeds generated from the event will further the charitable mission of NEPA Community Health Care. The NEPA Community Health Center is a non-profit service organization providing primary medical care to the residents of Susquehanna County and contiguous areas.
