HEADLINES Kristin Shingler Receives Degree Kristin Shingler Receives Degree GETTYSBURG, PA - Kristin Shingler of Montrose graduated Cum Laude from Gettysburg College on May 22. Shingler majored in Biology. In addition, she has been placed on the Deans' Honor List for outstanding academic achievement in the Spring 2011. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Deans' Honor List.

SCSD Announces President’s Awards The Susquehanna Community Elementary School is proud to announce the following students that received President’s Education Awards for the 2010-11 school year. The Wayne/Susquehanna Chapter of the environmental group R.E.S.C.U.E. has made a cash award of $100.00 to six graduating seniors, class of 2011, in the six school districts within WAYNE/SUSQUEHANNA R.E.S.C.U.E. geographical boundaries. Qualifications for the award include good citizenship, leadership in an environmental area, past interest in environmental projects, and/or the possibility of a future career in an area that would benefit the environment. This years recipients are: Nicole Chrzan, Western Wayne High School; Rebecca Harvey, Honesdale High School; David Smith, Forest City Regional High School; Gary Resti, Hancock Central High School; David Winn, Susquehanna Community School District; and Mary Skurnowicz, Mountain View High School.
