Lauren Risboskin Receives Honors Lauren M. Risboskin of Forest City, PA has been selected for inclusion on the Dean's List for academic achievement during the spring 2010 semester at St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. To be eligible for the Dean's List at St. Lawrence University, a student must have completed at least four semester units and have an academic average of 3.6 (based on a perfect 4.0 scale) for the semester. Risboskin graduated from St. Rose Academy in Mayfield. She is majoring in English and Psychology.
Delaware Valley College Announces Dean's List DOYLESTOWN, PA - Dr. Dorothy Prisco, Delaware Valley College Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty, announced the following students have been honored for academic achievement by being named to the Spring 2010 Dean's List: Elizabeth Gerhard, Montrose; Kerri Recipko, Carbondale.
Elizabeth Loney Receives Degree CHESTER, PA - Elizabeth Loney of Nicholson, PA received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies during the commencement ceremony at Widener University on May 15, 2010.
Mary Anne McAndrew Earns Graduate Degree Mary Anne McAndrew of Carbondale, PA received her Master of Science in Nursing through the Graduate & Professional Studies division at Saint Joseph's College of Maine, which offers online education for working professionals. McAndrew, whose focus was nursing education, works as a nurse in the neuro-trauma department at Community Medical Center in Scranton and is an instructor in the Dept. of Nursing at the University of Scranton. She holds a B.S. in Nursing from Marywood College and a M.S. in Health Administration from the University of Scranton. She is a member of the American Association of Neuroscience Nurses and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
Susky Elem. Announces President’s Awards The Susquehanna Community Elementary School held its awards assembly for the 2009-2010 school year on June 3. The following students received President’s Education Awards: Educational Excellence - Daniel Braun, Cori Glidden, Kaitlyn Gow, Alyssa Hubal, Jessica Plutino, Miranda Rhone; Educational Achievement - Haley Aldrich, Michael Armitage, John Ball, Jr., Baily Barnes, Breanna Bushong, Donna Jo Decker, Alyssa Rockwell, Rachel Serfilippi, Nicole Sherman.
Artists Awarded At Susky Elementary The Susquehanna Community Elementary School held its awards assembly for the 2009-2010 school year on June 3. University Of Scranton Awards Degrees On Saturday, May 29, The University of Scranton conferred more than 630 Master’s Degrees and 37 Doctoral Degrees at its post-baccalaureate commencement ceremony in the Byron Recreation Complex on campus. Local degree recipients are as follows: Doctoral Degree: Barbara E. Frechen, Susquehanna, Doctor of Physical Therapy. Master’s Degree: Heather M. Bradley, New Milford; Jessica L. DeArmond, Union Dale; Sarah L. Holmes, Thompson; Adele N. Kryger, Kingsley; Stephen B. Pendrak, Browndale; and Jeanette M. Rinker, Springville. Also at the ceremony, graduate students were honored for outstanding academic achievement in their academic area. Outstanding academic awards were presented to the following area student: Adele Nichole Kryger, Kingsley, Special Education.
