Blue Ridge Students Adopt Sea Turtle Blue Ridge fourth graders have been learning about sea turtles in Ms. Sarrah Dibble's art class. In February, students donated money and put it in a sea turtle bank. Recently, they counted the money and donated $50.00 to the Caribbean Conservation Corporation. This also allowed the students to adopt a loggerhead sea turtle named "Squirt." Students can follow the migration of the satellite tracked turtle on CCC's website. In honor of their new friend "Squirt," students have been building their own sea turtles out of plaster, newspaper, cardboard, and will soon be painting them.
