EVELYN STAGER

Evelyn (Langman) Stager passed away peacefully Friday, February 12, 2010. Evelyn was born September 13, 1927 in Jermyn, PA. She was resident at the Forest City Nursing and Rehab Center. Prior to there, she lived at William Penn Apts., Forest City, and the majority of her adult life on the farm at Fiddle Lake.

Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Jacob Stager and a step-daughter, Bernice Bedford. She is survived by one son, “John Boy” Stager of Fiddle Lake; three sisters, Ernestine Dick, Mary Elizabeth Sontro and Marjorie Murray, all of New Jersey; a step-daughter, Marian L. Glover, Susquehanna; several nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren and many wonderful friends.

She was a hard working, dedicated, fun-loving person who loved the Lord, enjoyed her TV games shows, Bingo, playing cards, crossword puzzles, Word Search and especially enjoyed being wither her loving family and great friends. She will be missed deeply by all. May she rest in eternal peace.

The viewing and service, officiated by Reverend James Rouse, was held Sunday, February 14, 2010 at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Inc. in Susquehanna, PA. Burial will be in Gelatt Cemetery at a later date at the family’s convenience.

ETHEL "ANN" POST

Ann Post, 72, of Hallstead, PA, peacefully went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 15, 2010.

She and her loving husband of 54 years, Ken, were very active in their community. Ann was a school bus driver for 35 years for the Blue Ridge School District. She was a Sunday School teacher and member of the Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church and the PW Women's Group and was previously a member of First Baptist Church, New Milford.

Ann cherished spending time with her grandchildren and family. She also enjoyed walking, traveling, gardening, reading and bird watching.

She was predeceased by her parents John and Ruth Morrison and by a granddaughter Judy Lynn Gordon.

Ann is survived by her husband Kenneth Post of Hallstead; two sons John Post and his wife Gail of New Milford, PA and Steve Post of Concord, NC; a daughter Judy Post and Alan Christensen of Lakewood, PA; grandchildren Kyle Post, Kurt Post, Danny Gordon, Sierra Post and Summer Post; a great-granddaughter Mellissa Locke; a brother Fred Morrison; sisters Lillian Ames and Molly Whitman, and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Memory of Ann Post may be made to Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church, 760 State Route 1018, Franklin Hill Rd., Hallstead, PA 18822 or to Lourdes Hospice, 4102 Old Vestal Road, Vestal, NY 13850.

A service was held on Saturday, February 20, 2010, at the Franklin Hill Presbyterian Church.
