Elk Lake Helps Iraqi Children

Recently the Elk Lake Kindergarten students collected coins to help Iraqi children. Mr. Timothy Bomboy, who is stationed in Iraq, has a son, Codi in the kindergarten class. Mr. Bomboy is near children who asked the military personnel for soccer balls and he asked us to help. Our kindergarten children, along with other people in the school district, collected over $200.00 towards the purchase of 60 balls. Wal-Mart donated a $75.00 gift certificate towards the cost of the balls. The balls were sent to Iraq and this past week Mr. Bomboy informed us that he received one of the three boxes. Elk Lake is happy to help in this Children-to-Children project.
