Miniature paintings by club members will decorate the tree. It will be on display and for purchase during a silent auction between 4:00 and 6:00 p.m. on December 20.

Regular sized original paintings are currently on display at Penn Star Bank, County Office Building and Endless Mountains Health Systems buildings. These will be rotated on a regular basis throughout the winter.

Hill Country Artists will reorganize in April of 2009, and are looking forward to another year of interesting meetings. New members are welcome at any time. For information contact President Maureen VanNostrand at 278-4590.

Universalists Plan For Christmas Eve

The Worship Committee of the first Universalist Church, Brooklyn, announced its plans for their 8:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Candlelight Service.

The service will open under the illuminating light of a single Moravian star as organist Gloria Smith performs. Under the leadership of Linda Kulick and pianist Maddie Murray, the choir will bring forth joyous anthems announcing the Christ Child’s birth. Following the scripture reading by Ruth Rought, Pastor Christianson will deliver the evening message.
