GENOA “NORA” KOVITCH

Genoa “Nora” Kovitch, 72, of Hallstead, PA passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at St. Luke’s Hospital, Bethlehem, PA.

She is survived by her loving husband of forty-nine years, Andrew Kovitch; one sister, Edna Wood, Capron, VA; and several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews.

Nora was a communicant of St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA. She was also a member of the American Legion Post #357 Auxiliary and the V.F.W. Auxiliary.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, PA.

Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to the St. Lawrence Catholic Church, Great Bend, PA 18821.

JOHN THOMPSON

John “Pop John” Thompson, 67, formerly of Thompson, PA, passed away peacefully at his home in Tampa, Florida on August 12, 2008.

He was predeceased by his sister, Sandra Kross and granddaughter, Brianna Doucette.

He is survived by two sisters, Linda and George Leber, Thompson, PA, Marcia and Pat Kurtz, Barnegat, NJ; two daughters, Kimberly Thompson and son-in-law Randy Douglas, both of Susquehanna, Stacey and Charles Young, Tabernacle, NJ; five grandchildren, Jessica Wagner, Trenton, NJ, Richie Thomas, Tabernacle, NJ, Andrew DeSesso, Susquehanna, Danielle Young, Tabernacle, NJ; newly adopted granddaughter, Amanda Stevenson, Susquehanna. He had two great-grandchildren, Dylan and Tyler Wagner, Trenton, NJ; many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Bill’s Hilltop, Susquehanna on Saturday, August 30, at 3:00 p.m. for friends and family to gather together and celebrate his life and share fond memories. A buffet lunch will be served.
