JUDITH ELLEN AYERS

Judith Ellen Ayers, 66, Great Bend, PA, passed away to be with the Lord with her loving family by her side on Sunday, April 13, 2008 at the Community Medical Center in Scranton after a long illness.

She is survived by her loving husband and lifelong friend of 50 years, David C. Ayers; loving children, David E. Ayers and Jo Fisher, New Milford, PA, Vanessa Grady, Goosecreek, SC, Thomas and Jackie Ayers, Bangor, PA, Suellen Swartwood, Great Bend, PA, Twila and Fredrick Stark, Susquehanna, PA, Florence and Duane Sylvester, Bangor, PA, Neil and BettyJo Ayers, Hallstead, PA, Kenneth and April Ayers, Hallstead, PA, Darcey Ayers and her companion Todd Hill, Endicott, NY; 24 loving grandchildren; 24 loving great-grandchildren; one brother, Donald and Shirley Rice, Sandy Creek, NY.

She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Montrose, PA. Judith was a wonderful, loving mother, wife, grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by her family and friends. The family would like to give a special thanks to Jo Fisher for her devotion and gratitude to Judith Ayers and a special thanks to CMC for their best effort to care for our mother.

A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 19 at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, with Pastor Chris Buttery officiating.
