REBECCA MARIE BUTTS Rebecca Marie Butts, 50, Poyntelle, PA, passed away on Monday, December 17, 2007 at the Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale, PA. She is survived by her loving husband of 31 years, Thomas George Butts; son, Michael Thomas Butts and Heather Anthony; grandchildren, Mindy Fitch, Nichole Anthony, Hayden Butts, Thomas Butts; daughter, Lisa Marie Butts and Ryan Smith; granddaughter, Aurora Marie Smith; her mother, Agnes Louise Roy; brothers, Robert and Jackie Wade, Mikey and Terri Wade, Joey and Sue Roy, William and Patricia Roy; sisters, Jennifer Roy and family, Anjanette Sherley and family, Edith and Mark Sheriff; mother-in-law, Mary Lou Butts; brother-in-law, Jeff and Mary Butts; sisters-in-law, Linda and Doug Evans, Geri and Doc Lake; many nieces and nephews. Rebecca worked at Camp Westmont in Poyntelle and Matis Manufacturing in Susquehanna, PA for many years before that. Becky was truly a bright light that everyone was attracted to. The funeral service was held on Friday, December 21 at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna. Burial will be in the Stevens Point Cemetery, Stevens Point, PA. ROSE A. BROWN Rose A. Brown, 86, formerly of North Jackson, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2007. She was predeceased by her husband, Darwin F. Brown. Rose is survived by three children, Rev. Elwin H. and Rev. Marian E. Brown, Berkshire, NY, Susan and Ed Byers, Allenwood, PA, Priscilla and Edward Greene, Susquehanna; one sister, Mabel Sheldon; one brother, Fred H. Williams; eight grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren. Rose was a member of the South New Milford Baptist Church and recently attended the First Baptist Church of Susquehanna. She was employed as a secretary for GLF Feedmill in Thompson, Agway Petroleum in New Milford, and Perrine Furniture in Susquehanna. She formerly worked as a tax assessor. She was a bus driver for Blue Ridge School District for twenty-six years. She also worked alongside her husband on the dairy farm. She enjoyed baking bread. Funeral services were held Monday, December 24 at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead. Interment will be made in the North Jackson Cemetery. Should friends so desire, expressions of sympathy may take the form of a donation to a church of your choice.
