David Quick 4-H Awards Presented

Marilyn Quick and her children set up the “David Quick 4-H Memorial Fund” as a memorial to David to recognize outstanding 4-H accomplishments of Susquehanna County 4-H members. This year, this special award was received by both the junior and senior master exhibitors at the Susquehanna County 4-H Dairy Roundup. Receiving the junior master exhibitor award, a savings bond and a plaque, was Evan Castrogiovanni, a member of the Born to Show 4-H Club. Christopher Schuler, of Delmonico’s 4-H Club, was the senior master exhibitor receiving the David Quick Memorial Award.

This award is also given at the Harford Fair for the best owned and bred animal exhibited in a colored breeds youth show and the Holstein youth show. This year’s recipients were Jessie Sartell and Mariah Castrogiovanni.

David was a long time supporter and leader of the Susquehanna County 4-H program. This memorial fund established by the Quick family will continue to remind 4-H members and leaders in Susquehanna County of the importance of the 4-H program to David Quick and of his many years of participation and service to the 4-H program.
