Amn. 1C Grant Palmer Graduates Training

Air National Guard Airman 1st Class Grant T. Palmer has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.

Grant is the son of LuAnn Palmer and grandson of John Palmer Hop Bottom. He is a 2005 graduate of Mountain View High School.

Thomas E. Flowers Enlists In PA Air National Guard

Technical Sergeant Thomas Flowers of Brooklyn, PA has recently enlisted for six years in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard. Previously, Thomas had served for fourteen years in the Air Force Reserve before transferring to the PA Air National Guard.

He will perform monthly unit training assemblies with the 193rd Special Operations Wing at Harrisburg International Airport. Sergeant Flowers will serve part-time in the Crew Chief career field, working as a Job Controller in the 193rd Maintenance Operations Flight, on the EC-130J Commando Solo III aircraft.

He is employed full-time as a building contractor and plans to return to college part-time, while using the education benefits provided by the PA Air National Guard’s Educational Assistance Program.

Sergeant Flowers lives in the village of Brooklyn with his wife and two children.
