Obituaries

MARIE L. BRANT

Marie L. Brant, 80, Great Bend, PA, passed away August 1, 2006, at Barnes-Kasson SNF, Susquehanna, PA. She was predeceased by  her husband, Edward L. Brant, in 2003; by her parents, Earl and Mary Fenescey McKinney; and by a brother, Clarence McKinney.

Surviving are her children, Mary and James Riecke, Great Bend, Marsha and Randy Morrison, Gibson, PA, Keith and Pam Brant, Susquehanna; five grandchildren, David Brant, Michael and Erica Riecke, Kelly and Kendra Brant; a great-grandchild, Taylor Brant; a lifelong extended family member, Arthur Strohl, Jr.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Claire Brant, Jean McKinney, Julia and Durland Drake; several nieces and nephews.

Marie was a member of the United Methodist Community Church, Great Bend, and the East Great Bend Grange. She was a manager at Sears, Binghamton, NY for many years, and also managed the Western Auto in Great Bend. She was a devoted homemaker and enjoyed cooking and taking care of other people.

A funeral service was held at the Tuttle-Yeisley Funeral Home, Hallstead, on Saturday, August 5, with Pastor Don Littleton officiating. Interment, Newman Cemetery, Great Bend.
