EVELYN G. HERBERT

Evelyn G. Herbert, 88, Venice, FL, died February 12, 2006.

She was born February 11, 1918 in Jersey City, NJ, and moved to Venice 15 years ago from Virginia. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, Venice.

Her late husband, Rev. William K. Herbert was minister at the United Methodist Church, Susquehanna, PA in the late 1960’s and early 1970’s.

Survivors include a daughter, Evelyn Lewis, Venice; sons, Carl, Newburgh, NY, Lawrence, Deltona, FL, Jeffrey, Susquehanna, Arthur, Lowman, NY; a sister, Beatrice Stevens, Rochester, NY; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Memorial services were held at Christ United Methodist Church, Venice.

Graveside services will be held in North Jackson Cemetery, Saturday, May 13, 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ken Bitler officiating.

GEORGE MARSHMAN

George Marshman, 73, of South Montrose, PA, unexpectedly passed away at his home on Tuesday, May 2, 2006. He was born in Riverside, NY to the late George and Virginia (Buchman) Marshman. His wife of five years, Joyce (Butler) survives.

George was a 50-year and charter member of the Hallstead American Legion Post # 357, a member of the Great Bend VFW Post 6223, and was a lifetime member of each organization. He worked for the Kroehler’s Furniture Manufacturing for 42 years.

He is also survived by a son, George Lloyd Marshman; daughter, Melissa Danielson; stepdaughter, Jenny Hibbard; stepsons, Joseph P. Gallagher and Frederick D. Gallagher; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service was held 11 a.m. Saturday May 6, 2006, at the Daniel K. Regan Funeral Home, Montrose, PA, with Pastor Bob Kadlecik of the Bridgewater Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Susquehanna, PA.
