SPC William Evans On Deployment

Local Troops Are Deployed To Iraq

Pictured is Art Donato, the Susquehanna County 911 Coordinator shaking hands with Governor Rendell in Mississippi on June 23, 2005. The Donato family, along with many other families were there for a deployment ceremony for 59 soldiers from Pennsylvania Army National Guard Charlie Co. out of New Milford, PA, who have been reassigned to A Co., B Co., and Headquarters. They have been deployed to Iraq. There were 4000 soldiers deployed and out of that, 2700 are from the Pennsylvania Army National Guard. Governor Rendell was very sincere in his speech and spent time after the ceremony talking to the families. This should draw attention to the fact that we have many local families whose loved ones are in Iraq. These are men and women who live in our communities.
