Anna Hobbs, 92, Thompson, PA, passed away Saturday, February 5, 2005 at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale, after a brief illness.

She was born in Scranton, the daughter of the late Peter and Nancy Zudoffsky.

Anna was predeceased by her husband, Willard Hobbs, who passed away in 1999, after 67 years of marriage. She was also predeceased by three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Alice and Bob Gilleran, Starrucca, PA, Sylvia and Carl Slocum, Warner Robbins, GA; one son and daughter-in-law, Fred and Sandra Hobbs, Thompson; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one brother-in-law, William Norton, NY; one sister-in-law, Lorraine Zudoffsky, FL.

Ann was co-owner with Willard, of Hobbs’ Market until their retirement in 1976. She was a lifetime member of Thompson Methodist Church, and former member of the Rebecca Lodge, Thompson. She lived all her life in the Thompson area, with the exception of her retirement for the winter months in Largo, FL. Anna was an avid golfer, belonging to the ladies’ golf league at Lake Lorain for many years. She was also very fond of her flower gardens and kept them meticulously groomed. She always had a smile for everyone and we will miss seeing her do the things she enjoyed.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson, PA.
