ROGER DALE POTTER

Roger Dale Potter, 52, Scranton, formerly of Susquehanna, PA, passed away Sunday, October 3, 2004 at his home.

He was born in Susquehanna on January 25, 1952, the son of Gerald H. and Patricia M. Potter, Susquehanna.

He is survived by three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Harry R. Potter, Ft. Walton Beach, FL, John P. and Donna Potter, Hop Bottom, PA, Kevin R. and Jin Potter, Ft. Walton Beach, FL; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Marcia A. and Arthur Edel, Downsville, NY, Brenda J. Potter, Susquehanna, Charlise and William Albert, Hallstead, PA; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Roger was a member of the Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson, PA. He enjoyed landscaping and photography and was a collector of tractors and trains.

A memorial service was held on October 7 at the Thompson United Methodist Church with the Rev. Brian Lucas officiating. Burial, Thompson Cemetery, Thompson, PA.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Thompson United Methodist Church, Thompson, PA.

Arrangements were made by Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna.

PAUL E. GILLERAN

Paul E. Gilleran, 81, Starrucca, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, October 4, 2004 at home.

He was born in Thompson Township on November 19, 1922, the son of the late James and Mary (Rodgers) Gilleran.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Thomas Gilleran in 1975, John Gilleran in 1996, and by a sister, Jane Stearns in 2002.

Paul is survived by five sisters and two brothers-in-law, Katherine Hubbs, Newark Valley, NY, Claire and Carl Johnson, Williamsburg, VA, Rose Potter, Starrucca, Helen Gilleran, Port Orange, FL, Delores and James Carpenter, Susquehanna; many nieces and nephews.

Paul was a member of St. Paul’s Church in Starrucca. He was a lifelong dairy farmer and owned and operated a dairy farm in Thompson Township. Paul will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A funeral service was held at Hennessey’s Funeral Home, Susquehanna, on Friday, October 8, and a Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Paul’s Church with Rev. John O’Bell officiating. Burial, St. Paul’s Cemetery, Starrucca.

CHARLES E. FISCHER, JR.

Charles E. Fischer, Jr., 35, of Coral Springs, Florida, formerly of Thompson, PA, passed away on Friday, July 30, 2004.

Charles was born on June 5, 1969. He was the beloved son of Charles and Janice Fischer, Sr. of Boca Raton, Florida, and loving brother to Shelly and (Marc) Lakovits of Palm Beach, Florida.

He was educated in the Susquehanna Community School until 1963, when he moved to Florida. He was in the plumbing trade until his illness.
