HEADLINES: Local Students Are S U Volunteers Selinsgrove, PA First-year students at Susquehanna University experienced the value of helping others during their first week on campus. On Saturday, August 28, more than 500 students, faculty and staff, including university President L. Jay Lemons and Provost Linda McMillin, participated at one of 33 volunteer project sites in Selinsgrove and surrounding communities. The event, dubbed SU S.E.R.V.E. (Susquehanna University Students Explore Regional Volunteer Experiences) is intended to give students the opportunity to gain a sense of connectedness to the Susquehanna community while working with their peers. Local students who participated in SU S.E.R.V.E. are: from Thompson, Amanda Fallon, daughter of Mark and Lorie Fallon and Heather Warneke, daughter of Robert and Barbara Warneke; from Starrucca, Katherine McHale, daughter of Mark and Karen McHale.
On August 14, 2004, Shruti B. Patel, Susquehanna, graduated from The Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, With Distinction.
