Lenten Schedule At Holy Name Of Mary

Lenten schedule at Holy Name of Mary Church, Montrose, is as follows. Beginning on Ash Wednesday, February 25, Mass will be celebrated at 7:00 a.m., 12:10 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. with distribution of ashes.

Stations of the Cross – each Friday of Lent at 7:00 p.m., followed by Mass.

Sacrament of Reconciliation, Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 noon, except March 6.

Eucharistic Adoration –on the first Fridays, March 5 and April 2 after the 12:10 p.m. Mass until Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m., followed by Benediction and Mass with Men of the Sacred Heart.

Community Lenten Service Schedule

The Route 11 Corridor Ministerium has announced the annual Community Lenten Service schedule. The joint services will begin on Ash Wednesday, February 25 and continue each Wednesday until March 31. The service begins each week at 7:30 p.m.

The community-wide service is held at a different church each week and features one of the local clergy as preacher, with music provided by choirs from the various churches. Each worship service will include a Children’s Time. A time of fellowship and refreshment will follow each service. An offering for the Route 11 Corridor Ministerium will be received at each service.

The Community Lenten Services schedule is as follows, with the location, preacher and music providers listed respectively: February 25, Ash Wednesday – Gibson United Methodist Church, The Rev. Joyce K. Allen, Harford Congregational Church Choir; March 3 – Harford Congregational Church, The Rev. Canon Carol Horton, Lakeside United Methodist Church Choir; March 10 – St. Lawrence Roman Catholic Church (Great Bend), The Rev. Barbara Doan, Community United Methodist Church of Great Bend Choir; March 17 – Hop Bottom United Methodist Church, The Rev. David Riley, First Presbyterian Church (Hallstead); March 24 – New Milford Baptist Church, The Rev. Ralph Christiansen, Hop Bottom United Methodist Church Choir; March 31 – Brooklyn Universalist Church, The Rev. Louis Kaminski, New Milford United Methodist Church Choir.
